Airtourer
I have just recently completed this 1:32 scale scratch build of the US Navy's first aeroplane, the Curtiss Hydroaeroplane. I thoroughly enjoyed building this model especially the engine, here are some photos of the completed model, hope you like them. Des. LSP_Kevin
That's simply amazing Des. Even as a kit build this would be stunning. But as a scratch build, it's practically incomprehensible. We'd love it if you'd post an in-progress thread of one of your marvellous creations, so we can see how you do it - and maybe learn something! May I publish it on the website? Mike Robinson
That is beautiful Des. Mr. Curtiss is smiling I'm sure. I volunteer at the Glen Curtiss Museum in Hammondsport New York, and they built a 1:1 scale flying replica of this very airplane. I'll send the link to our Museum Director. I'm sure he'll enjoy looking at it. Any plans to make the beaching gear for the Triad? Cheers Mike Girlscanplay2

dora9
Quite impressive! I love it! Nice workmanship, just to do a bipe for me is quite a feat, so to scratch one is really out of my league! Bravo!
