elmarriachi
Hello, Balaton Modell from Hungary offer lot of wonderful multimedia-kits for unusual subjects. One of these is the former Soviet dozer DT-74. A kit consisting of several resin parts, which were produced with a master via 3D-Print technic. Due to that the fitting is excelent. The typical 3D-printing signs are not visible in the resin parts. Also included are some photo etched parts and clear film for the windows. First I have glued the chassis with all its add-on parts, wheels and further details. The tracks are consisting of single track parts, which have to be glued together and glued on the wheels. The engine hood, engine covers, engine, interior and cabin remain separately for painting at the moment... And I have started some wiring on the engine .... elmarriachi
Hello, after a primer in rusty red color I have wetted the suface and spread some salt on it... after drying I have painted some iron color on the blade and the tracks and repeated the water salt. The final layer of painting is light grey from Lifecolor, sprayed on everything. After drying the salt was removed with a stiff brush and a tooth pick. elmarriachi
Hello, the dozer is mainly completed. The parts are all glued in place and most of the painting is done. Some small details are missing and some weathering effects will follow. A small base also comes later ... But first - summer vacation Cheers Micha Girlscanplay2, Jeff and Shawn M
elmarriachi
Hello, a small update. The base is nearly finished - some last details and final things follow ... I think I will open the 2nd door of the dozer as well as the small gap over the closed door is too prominent....
