Mk I Spitfire spinner question

Hi all.

 

Is the spinner in the Revell mk IIa Spitfire correct for a Mk I? I used a resin rotol prop when I built my mk II, but I know Mk I's, my chosen markings in particular, used a de havilland ptop & spinner.

 

Is that what is in the kit? And if not, where can I find one?

Either the Rotol or the de Havilland could be fitted. The Revell Mk II kit has the de Havilland prop and spinner.

The Revell spinner has a sharp point which isn't correct,  a few swipes with a sanding stick should cure this.

Another option is the spinner in the old Revell Mk I/II kit (which I think has three alternative designs).

My Grey Matters Rotol prop arrived in the mail today.... unfortunately in my haste I didn't notice that it was for the Mk VB or C and the SEAFIRE Mk I or II. My mistake. I need to research a little to see if this one will work for my Revell kit. I still haven't made up my mind if I want a Mk IIa or a Mk I.
