 Hi all,

I'm the Ju 88 nut behind AIMS for those of you who do not know me. I am new to the larger scales but hope you will like my forthcoming Ju 88 decal sheet. It will require the modeller to purchase my longer wing tips and ailerons and some decal options require my early 'light' twin B stand canopy as well but I don't think my offerings are too expensive. All the details can be found on my website www.aimsmodels.co.uk but here is a preview of the new decal sheet and instructions in the mean time

God bless

Well there you go, got there in the end in a round about way. Only got 100 sheets of the first 1/32 offering left (32D001) Let me know if you need anything but if you are in the US be aware that Sprue Brothers were sent 15 of everything today. Any questions, comments, hatemail, advice needed just call

God bless

Thanks Steve, all good fun and all the research is good for the old brain. I must get on with trying to make a master of the weapons battery and ammo drums so I can sell them on as I need them myself. I just can not work out from my photos and drawings how three bins serve 4 weapons? I read that one bin in-between the rudder pedals served two MG 17s and held more rounds in it and was thus bigger but I dont see it being any bigger, nor can I see how two feeds come from one bin? It is a bit of a headache to say the least but once I have it craked I should be able to produce some helpful bits

Best wishes

John,

I see on "page 3" above that your new decal sheet includes markings for three or four Ju 88 A-5s. Will you be releasing resin parts that convert the kit's engine nacelles to A-4/A-5 nacelles?

I was not aware that the external features of the Ju 88 A-5s power plants differed from those of the A-1? I will not be doing any engine conversions. Many thanks.

John,

You're right and I was wrong. My apologies.

Another question, if I may. The profile paintings that accompany your new decals show two-gun rear armament on some of the aircraft. As far as you know, did all of these use the early two-gun B Stand that you provide as AIMS item 320004?

With thanks in advance for any advice you can provide,

Charles Metz

Hi Charles,

The instructions show the early twin B Stand and Yes I make these. With the exception of 4D+MR all the decal designs with this canopy are based on photographic evidence but 4D+MR is almost certain to have the same canopy as 4D+AR and 4D+DR as they are taken at the same time in the same place.

Best wishes

John
