Triceratops Iwata test bed.

Hi guys.

I found this old thing, I think I was making it for a kid. After 20+ years I am using it to test my new airbrush.

The Iwata is like a Rolls Royce compared to what I am used to. I did this last night after working on a George all day. Just for fun.

I've no idea how to colour it and this is just for fun.

I've named this animal, Shaka Hi, in honour of our member who wanted me to get an Iwata all along.

He was right. ;)

Oh I did learn an important lesson for later when I paint my aircraft. I dropped this thing 12 times. Tough as nails these dinosaurs. :D

Dale,

I fought with Pete to buy an Iwata air brush as my 40+ old Paasche -1H was way past retirement. I tried a Duel action Iwata, but I really wanted to stay with a single action unit, yet I wanted to finer control of a internal mix AB.  Iwata  had just come out with two new smaller ABs in the Revolution series: The HP-M1 & the HP-M2, both single action/internal mix. The best of both worlds. So I bought both of them, and I've never looked back. Iwata's just rule.  :yahoo:

I thought he had one as a pet, sort of like the Flintstones.

Mate, everyone knows a triceratops is a kind and gentle beast. Whack a saddle on it and you're sweet. :)

This place, man it's like talking with musicians. I searched for years for the perfect snare drum. I tried for no less than 8 years to get 3 specific cowbells....

From what I can tell, modelers are artists. I just see it.

I'm still looking for that snare drum.....

So pleased we got a pretty good instrument. One or two that suits us. :)

Slightly off topic but I found a pic of Harvs sound system..

Yes, I remember the recording industry.... Oops sorry, The Industry Of Human Happiness.

Mk II...ok.....I wasn't quite sure, as the photos I have seen of the Mk II usually seem to show a mottled green/grey camo on the upper surfaces ...so this may be an early Mk II before the new pattern.... hehehe...

Nice work !
