Zero77
Great little project. When I was getting trained for pilot license my flight instructor was a bush pilot out of Alaska and hear his stories about hopping from puddle to puddle I fell in love with the adventure and hopeing someday I can add this rating with my certification and my own stories of pubble jumping You are doing great. I love the brass detail you are adding to your build. Totally cool Mike Thanks ! I also have the bushwheels version which has an alaska state trooper scheme, and i love it ! Floats or balloon tyres Super Cubs are just the perfect aircraft for alaska. Youngtiger1
Zero77
Thanks ! Glad you enjoy it ! I finished the yellow painting yesterday and applied almost all decals (except on the floats). The floats actually have a kind of black plastic cover that Revell did not made, so i made them with magic putty and a thick coat of primer. For the underwing code, i messed up the decal so i made a custom mask and it's much better. Except that my mix for the yellow appearars a little bit too dark, but it also may be becaus of the white background which may make the yellow color darker, i'm not sure... Here is where i am. LSP_Kevin
That looks fantastic, Nicolas! Great work on the paint masks, and you're right priming with white for light colours. Kev Zero77

Shawn M
beautiful work, and wow its tiny! Unless you have massive pots of Tamiya paint that is Zero77
williamj
Been following along....Really nice paint work and call letters, yellow looks fine on my monitor....great work on detailing the floats as well Zero77
Zero77
Thanks ! Yes it's tiny, but not so much. Actually the wingspan is very large for a small airplane. The Tamiya jars are the big 23ml, not the small 10ml.

Zero77
This build is slowing down as i'm building other kits at the same time, but i wont let it until it's done ! The floats are almost finished. I still have to put the pulleys and the small hook for the ropes (very small details....). I painted the small "somethings" black. I used masks as i feared to mess up my paint doing it with a paintbrush. and everything is now gloss coated and unmasked, ready to be assembled (the plane is not glued on the floats yet, just sat) : Vandy 1 VX 4, Youngtiger1, Wouter and 4 others
