I am a complete tool tart!! Fabulous piece of kit you have there. My little unimat is still stuck under my bench but is invaluable for some things.

Tool - tart?  (that's a new one)

Hmm... I guess I opened a new door to this hobby!... (hopefully not a red one)

Seriously good modelling skills, and equally seriously good modelling tools.

I'd love to have either!

Hi Dean,

Good things come to those who wait... (and practise)

Very nice mate. Looks like a good lathe!

Glad to see you back into it.

Eric.

Gidday matie!

Yes, it's good to get back into things again... and you are the inspiration behind me getting this lathe...

You showed me how to do things right!.. and I thank you for it!

Gald you're back at the bench and feeling so much better.  Totally enjoying your bag of tricks and the tank extensions look spot on.

Now that's some mighty serious tools to add to the workshop.  Sure seems as if Eric is casting a few spells!

Keep 'em coming

If only I could get my mates to buy stuff that I don't have!

Rear Stabiliser Mounting Bracket for inner Tail - Fuselage:

I have designed a mounting bracket piece as the angle and mountings for the 2 rear stabilisers, can be a bit tricky for those with little vac building experience.

So I made the following pieces which will be produced in resin for those interested (a 1 piece mounting bracket by the way) with metal rods supplied.... (these pieces shown are masters)

Now a study of the bracket in question ... (and no, it's not a model satellite!)

This will be produced in resin as a one piece part for added strength, I will also be supplying the metal rods-cut to size.

This should make the major sections to build, in this model ....a little easier.

Bracket in place within the tail section....

The bracket extends up inside the vertical tail unit (red dotted lines) to help support the inner - mounting structure and keep the stabilisers even and level - outside the fuselage....

Holy Smokes - fantastic work on the horizontal stabilizers - what a nice piece of engineering.

Enjoy your your power tool - I'm sure you will be putting it to very good use. Of course, Eric brings up an excellent point.

Keep 'em coming

Peter
