B-17 Tour

Just got back from touring Sentimental Journey at the Madison, Wi airport. It is always great getting into one of these planes and looking and standing where my dad did his job as a waist gunner.

I will be going to the Waukesha airport in August to see a B-17 again, hopefully it will not be so hot.

I was really surprised to see how cramped it is inside a Fortress.

LOL mate, what were you expecting, huge amounts of space?

Does the B-24 still do the rounds in the US? That's the one I'd really want to fly in.

The only aeroplanes I've been inside with a huge amount of space are the C-5 and the An-124!

Yeah but people were alot smaller back then! :D

Seriously I look at flight suits that are in museum displays and it always strikes me at how everyone seemed to be about 5'10" and thin.

I guess eating food with no hormone injections and no Fast Food or Chips and Dips kept people from becoming big....
