1/35 armor dioramas-mostly WW2.Build both allied and axis.Mostly hang out at Armorama and Missing-Lynx.More and More into 1/32 AC.Have pretty good stash of ww2 and Korea ac.Biggest problem is finding time to do all of it!

  1. Well, I'd like to see in 1/32 injection or resin or combo : Val Kate SM79 JU-52 (with transport/troop dropper/ ambulance versions) YAK-3 (A resin edition from Romania is nice and available from time to time) C-47 Dakota A-26 Invader(Just for the CIA in SEA
  2. Does/did anyone make these? I see photos occasionally but no figures for LG scale scenes. Also vaguely remember a possible photo of a mechanic standing on the workbox of his pedal-powered tricycle to service a fighter on the park line. Was this a fever dream or reality? Some nice pilots out there, just no support team folks. Thanks! Rick
  3. Any outfit getting close to releasing an H-6 conversion set for the Revell H 111P?
  4. When I built mine, the cockpit is very basic as well as the figure pilot. It works for 'in flight' display in an OK way. The jet kinda sits on the ground in a pretty ugly manner even if built well. Just not appealing I guess. My kit had a couple of the gun pods 'short shot' so some epoxy putty or other suitable material may be in order. gun barrels OK to use but is easy scratch improvement if you want to. Decals are good. Suez markings are kinda rare and may be trade-able for others? It's a fun kit to do. Rick
  5. I've called my work area "The Bench of Chaos" for quite a while now. It only gets tidied up and semi-organized after a build completion-about twice a year or so
  6. Wow. Very sad indeed. I was not aware he had cancer. The man graciously answered a few questions I posted just recently. My condolences to his family. Godspeed.
  7. Any conversion sets on the horizon yet? If so,drool pics please!
  8. Thanks guys. From what I've read here in the forums,Tamiya tape is very similar to "Kabuki tape". Rick
  9. Ahh bummer about the kit plans as they were very exciting. But, it's good your partner is busy with increased business and you have multiple opportunities for success! The Chinese firms or Revell get to these subjects sooner or later I guess. Best of luck to you! Rick
  10. Thank you Charles. Just ordered from Sprue Bros. Tried searching "canopy masks"- and got nada. Tried "paint masks"- and got generic roundels, crosses, and Hinamarus. Further about masks, I have the Paragon Vac canopy for the 1/32 Mosquito. Does anyone make a set for that? If not, What is the best way to mask a vac canopy? Liquid,Kabuki tape, blue painter's tape, or? Additional thanks!
  11. Does anyone make these(vinyl)? Looked on site sponsors, vendors forums. Don't need codes and cross masks. Evil Bay comes out null on this also. Thanks for help
  12. "I think I'd like at 1/35 armor crews." I am thinking along these lines also. Good for tropics or winter. Some hacking, heating and bending of limbs. Resin heads, headphones, scarves, etc.PE sunglasses are out there too.
  13. Many thanks to all of you guys. I don't visit that often as I'm mostly a treadhead and diorama builder. I do LSP's as a break from that. What I'm doing is finishing a barely started Mosquito NF II begun over a year ago. What I've got: Hobbycraft(?) white box kit w/vac canopy,Russian marks, etc. Paragon gun nose, belly guns, cockpit, and vac canopy. Robbed my Beaufighter kit for the radar array. and YES! I do indeed have a set of the LSP decals for the Mosquito(and early roundels). The big question I have is the red letters and numbers on the sheet are a very dark blood red whereas all the illustrations I see have the red much brighter. Which should it be? I'm leaning more to blood red(low vis night?) and calling the bright as sales glam? Also pinned in my favorites is the fabulous build blog of PhilB from a year ago. Phil,if you are ever in my neighborhood you will never be thirsty. I promise. I need the exhaust flame hider panels. does anybody offer these or is this a scratch task? Am I missing anything? Edit: found the flame dampers but now searching for wing tip running lights
  14. Charles- Thankyou. Any alternatives other than painting? Ron- Sorry, my spelling error.
  15. I coulda sworn a company offered these at one time. Did a search here but no joy. Dogpile search turned up same. Did I just have a fever dream or did the Tequilla find the sweet spot? Any help appreciated!
