Shawn M
back with pics, 'cause who doesn't love pics right? Cut out the kit oil cooler to fit the Barracuda bits: Same for the radiator: did some minor reworking of the pilot to make him less blob like built the engine, although it wont be seen it needs to hold the prop and exhausts speaking of exhausts, I made plugs for filler on the bottom to fill the massive voids

DougN
You might want to pick up the Grey Matter gull-wing insert for this kit to get rid of the flat rear wing area, since you've already replaced the oil cooler and rad http://www.greymatterfigures.com/index.php?p=2&id=
Shawn M
thanks Doug, maybe next time as that is a nice looking piece! Put in a few hours last night, mostly on the bulkheads and "floor" parts. I'll snap some pics tonight after I get some more done. dennismcc
If I remember right this kit has very skinny mainwheels, I remember inserting a plastic disc between the wheel halves to fatten them up a bit. Cheers Dennis
Shawn M
you're right Dennis, very very skinny, like ME-109 skinny! I used the disk idea on my old corsair when I built it. This one however will be in flight because: -the wheels are crap -the gear legs are crap -the gear bays are crap lol see a trend Edited December 31, 2015 by Shawn M dennismcc
Shawn M
I will glue one wheel half in the well like I did on the FW-190D9 Then fit the gear door
Shawn M
Managed to get some great bench time in today! Details built and added to the fuse halves, bulkheads modified, seat frame started. Also managed to score some nice QB Fishtail resin pipes for it
Shawn M
I also cut lose the control spade and positioned it to bring it closer to the "lazy" pilots hands. Aircraft will be climbing to the right as his closest hand is on his right knee (great job revell)
dodgem37
Nice detailing and upgrades. Those oxygen bottles are the bomb! Sincerely, Mark Shawn M

Shawn M
Made the cockpit rear bulkhead for the turtle deck and shot it all in black primer last night. Need to fit the seat to the frame and check for pilot interference on the details. I have alllll thursday night carved up for model time!
