DrDave
Its the data decals Mig 3 set. I tried but failed to get Adam to make the I16 set he planned. Tamiya light blue and deep green acrylics. Tamiya smoke, an oil wash, polyscale dust and dirt with a final coat of extracrylix flat varnish. The Azur kit is lovely. I did not find any of the fit problems reported but the resin gunsight is as fiddly as a fiddling fiddler fiddling with his fiddle. I know the I16 did not often wear upper wing stars, but I just liked the look. Dave

DrDave
You need nanotechnology to assemble the gunsite! The seat sits too far forward on its mount. Should nearly abut the rear bulkhead. Shave 1mm of each side of the cockpit floor. Mounting the instrument panel is tricky too. When you finally join wing to fuselage, do it with the cowl ring on as it widens the fuselage marginally to fill any gap. Join the wing in 2 stages, rear first, let the glue set, then liquid poly the front the next day. fits fine after that. Assemble the undercarraige before installation as it is really fiddly with inadequate location points. Enjoy though, its a great kit! Dave
guiterahome
I am currently assembling it : fit problem with the wings (you have to use putty)
DrDave
Not on mine, using the trick of doing front and back 2 stages with liquid poly. The underfuselage to wing join needs Mr surfacer, true. But that area is easy to sand down !
