Has anybody tried leaving some out of the bottle

to see if it thickens up to a brushable viscosity ?

I haven't , just curious 

 

 

I do this.

It works well for very small touch-ups but you must not brush it.  I allow it to thicken for a minute or two and then I use a small brush and 'dap' a spot of paint where needed.  As mentioned it works well for very small touch-ups but for larger areas you do need to do some localised masking and airbrush it.

Thanks Barry, I wondered because everything thickens up (or disappears)

when you let it evaporate some.
