BloorwestSiR
I'm following this closely for when I build my 248. I also was undecided whether to paint the stripes before or after, so it will be interesting to see the outcome. Looking good and I admire your grit! Best regards; Steve Thanks Steve! I'd say do the red first and then the silver if my experience is anything to go on. Carl Fingers crossed and a pretty novel approach. The white primer smoothed out should work perfectly and you'll be off and running again Looking forward to the next update for sure Keep 'em coming Peter Thanks Peter! BloorwestSiR
So I managed to get the silver sprayed last night. I then did a flash coat this morning of a very thin mix of paint to thinner. Once that was dry, I pulled the masking off. Overall, it's much smoother and best of all, no need for a clear coat. I have to say it was well worth the effort of re-doing the paintwork. Now onto doing the same with the cowl. Carl Alain Gadbois, Jeff, Hubert Boillot and 3 others

BloorwestSiR
I got a bit more done in the last couple of days. I installed the fishtail exhausts onto the engine and then finally attached the completed assembly to the fuselage. I then checked the fit of the cowl panels. They seem to be a bit loose compared to how they usually fit so I'll be taking another look at them. But here's what she looks like now. At the moment, I think I have decals and landing gear left before she's finished. Carl Jeff, Shawn M, MikeC and 7 others
