Well I certainly don't do WWI much so be merciful. WNW kit OOB which is supposed to represent the Baron's aircraft, but the markings are depicted in a very faded manner so I will just trust the WNW folks know their stuff. I went without turnbuckles as they suggest, but I do have a bunch of Bob's buckles for future endeavors. Hope you likey!

Color callout from the instructions seems a bit darker than the illustration, but oh well. I had a bunch of fun with this build!

Did you have enough fun to try another WW1 build? You are clearly capable, that's a very nice aeroplane

Richard

Very much so, and I have two Camels and an Albatros in the stash. I have built a W 29 and an LVG, but my LVG was my first and I need to re do the rigging because the wings are sagging. Thanks!!

That's a bloody fine model, whether it's your first or 100th Wingnut Wings kit. You've nailed it, especially the cowling metal effect.

I'd certainly go with what WNW recommend, they really, really know their stuff.

You just need to work on focusing the camera!

Super finish, nicely done  !

You don't need glasses as much as you need

to bump down your F-stop to a higher number

(f/22 maybe).

Its a pretty average camera, set on auto focus. I take the pictures up close so what you see really is some depth of field with stuff in the foreground out of focus. However if someone wants to donate a digital SLR I will happily get you some better shots/
