hi guys, finished this one after rescuing it from the shelf of doom.
I used Kits-World decals for this P-47.

Painting as usual with Tamiya and Gunze acrylics, weathering with oil paints.

Wow! I know that can be a tricky build in a few places, but it looks like you nailed it. I really like the paint scheme too.

Wow, that is PUUUUUUUUURTY!!    I love the overpaint D-Day stripe uppers. Im not sure Ive seen one like that before.

Question for you............
Im no expert on colors or insignia colors, but is are the Stars and Bars supposed to be that light of a blue?

 

 

Either way, it takes nothing away from a fabulous looking model.

One good looking Jug! Terrific work on the build and cammo. Agree with Brian that the Star and Bar's blue is a bit too light. I often wonder how a manufacture can get them wrong with so much info available
