holzemjo
So, here goes nothing, I'm showing my first model around... I've built the Airfix Dakota over the past few months (yes I know, not very fast...). I really enjoyed the build, the kit is nice, and I quite like the outcome. She is far from perfect of course, but this is only the third model I've ever built and I have learned a ton of new stuff, mostly thanks to the awesome techniques that I've seen here and tried. There are a lot of things that I know I can do better on my next build (which will also be my first large scale plane ) and I'm already looking forward to it! And here she is with the Ju 52 that I've built before that. Have a nice evening and thanks for watching! Gazzas
Very nice! I see you like transport planes. Does that mean your first LSP will be a 1/32 C-5 Galaxy? Well done! Gaz Jeff and Gigant
Intruder503
Nice Dakota, Jonas!! (Nice Junkers too!) Does that mean your first LSP will be a 1/32 C-5 Galaxy? Now THAT would be awesome! Gigant
Gigant
Nice Dakota, Jonas!! (Nice Junkers too!) Now THAT would be awesome! Just make sure you stay away from Anigrand, or any other kit with a resin fuselage. After Marauderdriver's experience: http://forum.largescaleplanes.com/index.php?showtopic=68975&hl= I checked with a manufacturer friend of mine, and he said resin is not good for fuselages. I would have set the resin pieces aside and formed a fuselage from scratch, using a solid piece of wood. Tom
holzemjo
Thank you all for your kind words! Very nice! I see you like transport planes. Does that mean your first LSP will be a 1/32 C-5 Galaxy? Well done! Gaz Not transport planes in particular, just multi-engined prop planes. Just so happens that they are either bombers, airliners or transporters. I don't think the C-5 is a good idea, the cost for paint alone would ruin me, then my wife would kick me out and I'd have to live on the street. Oh well, at least I could sleep under the wing Next one is going to be Revell's Arado Ar 196, the kit was 30% off, so I couldn't say no, even if it has only one engine Greets, Jonas

After Marauderdriver's experience: http://forum.largescaleplanes.com/index.php?showtopic=68975&hl= Tom Oh dear God no! None of that in my foreseeable future Although, if HK is really coming through with their 1/32 DC-3, I will be more than tempted! (Budget, space, and skills scream 'NO!', though...) Guest Peterpools
Jonas So very nicely done and only your third build - nothing easy at all with the Airfux kit. Peter
