thierry laurent
Hi, as announced, the first set of aftermarket Camel decals produced by Pheon is emerging and... it is for Belgian Camels! http://www.pheondecals.com/whats-new.html Personally, I am not too fond of planes in my national markings but there are exceptions and the Camel is fortunately one of them. I knew it was a good idea to buy as well the Duellists set with the Clerget Camel! Useless to say this is also a good way to avoid the boring too monochrome schemes... ;-) I am eagerly waiting for the set! Now, ... where is my Pieters book? This looks like the right time to have a look at that heavyweight! Yepeee! kalashnikov-47

esarmstrong
I would love to see more Belgian markings of WW1 subjects, such as the Pup and Re.8 just to name two others.
DeanKB
Excellent news. I always buy Pheons decals, they invariably pick great subjects.

thierry laurent
And I would be glad to get some for my Nieuport 23... I have to check if it is not possible to 'recycle' some Camel ones...

thierry laurent
Hi Andy, When I mentioned the book from Pieters, I was referring to that one: https://www.amazon.com/Belgian-Air-Service-First-World/dp/1935881019 This is without any doubt the best book about the topic. It is not cheap but for a 4 kgs book of 722 pages, what can you ask...? LSP_K2
esarmstrong
The Pieters' book is not only interesting reading, it's chocked full of interesting photos and numerous color profiles of aircraft. I believe that all of the Camels on the new Pheon sheet came from that book.
Gerhard
When I see Camel, I think Biggles.
vince14
Agree on the Pieters' book - it's the reference for the Belgian Air Service.
Jasta 14 addict
Beware regarding markings for the Re.8, because these Belgian machines where later on modernized with the 180 pk Hispano-Suiza engine. Greetz Danny
