Dave Pratt
GF that cockpit looks excellent...when is this kit being released by the way?
junkers88a1
the kit was planned to be released now in november but it has been a small delay so it will come in the beginning of december ( atleast the last i heard.. ) the kits are beeing made as we speak.. its about one month ago that Revell shipped the approved molds out for producing !! so its comming very soon i would guess i am really happy with how the kit turned out !! and it really has a lot of details never seen in a Ju 88 kit before, and that is the reason why it so late.. it took 6 months longer than planned to make this kit ( it was supposed to be realesed in may ) due to all the details.. it was planned to be even more detailed and it was also planned to make it as a convertable kit for A5.. but due to the makingprogress and the cost for 6 months overdue it is now released as a pure A1..but when seeing the cockpit..and how they made it i consider it all welll worth !! and i am also incredible pleased with the decals and the details they have gotten in there..absolutely all stencils that is present on the original Ju 88 A1 ( the pattern that was used was our Ju 88 0880119 that is under restoration in Norway ) hope you will enjoy it just as much as me
junkers88a1
and when building the kit there is a big boxs on the back of the bordfunkerseat that is in the kit and in the draweings.. this is something i will not use on my kits..as it was not present on the A1 we salvaged BUT it was on the A5 that was a later converted A1 ( salvaged in 2000 ) you will also find that it will get very cramped if mounting that box on the bordfunkerseat ( radio operator ) and it will be almost impossible to fit it all as the A5 had a different angle on the pilotseat with armour..the A1 pilotseat did not have the armourseat but had a large box fitted with Mg 15 drums ( same on A5 ) so this ammorack you need to use in the kit to get it correct here is a picture of the bordfunkerseat without the big box mounted on the backside

Firecaptain
Guttorm, could you take a close up of that marking on the back of the seat and explain what that is about? Thanks
