LSP_K2
Hey Kevin, the oxygen regulator instruments are on the lower right hand side of the IP. Looks like a hose fitting and a gauge and a small handle. http://www.aerocockpit.com/focke-wulf-fw-190-a hth That's interesting indeed, but I was referring to the oxygen gizmo that's supposed to be mounted to the rear wall. I suspect my choice of nomenclature wasn't quite correct. Thanks for the link, that looks great.
LSP_K2
Ironically enough, one of the better reference books I have on the '190, is this Model Art volume, but it's buried around here somewhere, and I have no idea where.
MikeMaben
Hmmm, that is confusing. I don't see how a hose could be connected to that. I 'have' seen oxygen bottles mounted down there on some models.

I'm guessing that the oxygen hose runs under the console (from behind the bulkhead) to the regulator gauges on the IP, but really have no idea. LSP_K2
With some paint slopped onto the seat, and sitting on a temporary spacer, it's a marked improvement over what the kit offers. Victor K2, Gazzas, Shawn M and 1 other
Bstarr3
Nice work. I'm coming to feel like resin seats with molded harnesses are my preferred option. Kahunaminor, LSP_K2 and Gazzas
Gazzas
Ja, that looks good! I hafta admit I hate adding seat belts. Gaz LSP_K2

I think that's correct. Here's a shot of the setup on a 109. Same elements but combined into one assembly . LSP_K2
What a great photo. Might come in handy when I resume work on my own '109's. Thanks, MikeMaben
Jerry Crandall
Great job so far. Don't forget to fill in the two spurious oval panels on the port side of the forward fuselage. Check the Hasegawa kit which is correct. Cheers, Jerry LSP_K2
LSP_K2
Thanks a bunch, Jerry, I certainly appreciate your input, and I will check it out. The colors on this machine certainly throw me off, but I'll be going with what I think it should be vs what the Histoire book says it is. I've never actually seen a photo of this particular machine, so I guess I have some latitude there.
LSP_K2
Some MM steel now spritzed on the engine, and it really seems to make the nicely molded details pop. Front piece masked off and painted flat black. Still more painting/washes to add, but that's all. No added plug wires, as the cooling fan really hides the majority of the engine anyway, so I won't waste my time with that. LSP_K2
Some washes added, and pushrods painted. Not great, but I can certainly live with it. monthebiff, MikeMaben, Victor K2 and 2 others
Thunnus
Great work on the F-8! Not the same type but the MDC cockpit for the D-9 has a simplified representation of the oxygen regulator next to the seat. Seems like a fairly easy item to scratch up.short of the stenciling.
