Brian Perris
My first post to the In the Works forum is a Komet I'm building for an upcoming show that I've opened up the wing root to show the details of the cannon bay. So far I've just cut out the wing root faring and inserted the new skin and a few of the external ribbing that support the cannon and the black boxes that furnish power to the weapon. This weekend I'm hoping to get the rest of the details attached to the fuselage and mount the cannon itself. Here she is!

Brian Perris
That is a brass tube which will serve as the blast tube for the cannon. Have a good cut away drawing of the Flea that shows that tube and a lot of reference pictures that people here on the forum steered me to that are providing a lot of info for the build. Will post more pics after I get a chance to work on it this weekend. Course at the moment it's in the fifties here in Northern Va. so I was out trying to reestablish just what color car I drive to work everyday!! Brian Perris
The cannon bay is almost complete. A few more odds and ends to place in the bay and some finish work on it and it will be ready. What's not in the bay yet are the harpoints for the wing to attach to, the compressed air bottlethat attaches just below the cannon which provides the air to **** the weapon, and the blackbox that mounts just behind the weapon that provides the electrical power to fire it. Once the bay is done then it's rescribing the fuselage and waiting for the Eduards PE parts to put the cockpit together!!!

Brian Perris
Thanks for the kind works guys. Wumm, I certainly am looking forward to the PE arriving so I can get the fuse put together. Hoping to show this bird at the end of the month! More pics soon as the build continues. Brian
