Hi from France

Hi everyone, and thanks for letting me join LSP.

I thought it would be a good idea to introduce myself in my first post/topic.

So, Antoine, 49, from Loire, France, working as a light aircraft mechanic since a few years, after spending nearly thirty years in the army as a tank commander and various other jobs.

I'm the one standing on the turret.

I started modelling with Matchbox at about ten years old (1/72 Hellcat, still remember the cost, 5.20FF), then left a few years latter for the Army.

I came back in 2007, but it was an on and off business, as I moved several times, and didn't had a real workbench nor space for shelves.

A few exemples of what I did at the time.

But now in 2017, I'm about to move (again!) to a new home with plenty of space for modelling, and hopefully this time to stay.

This gives me the ability to consider for the first time Large Scale modelling.

And for this, I took the time to build up a stash, already.

Here's my most prized box.

My interest in aviation goes to Cold war and its numerous conflicts, WW2 and the Axis satellites, exotic colors in general, PR aircrafts, Mirage family, Hunter, MiGs, Sukhoi, and Phantom.

I used to build armor too, focusing on Indochina/Vietnam, Middle east up to 1982, Ex-Jugoslavia and Post USSR wars, T-54/55, T-72, T-80, Centurion, M48.

Well, see you all for my first build over here.

Cheers!

A big thanks everyone for this warm welcome.

Bonsoir Antoine, bienvenu. If you like Hunters and PR aircraft we'll get along very well. Great models too.

Hi Mike, thanks.

Don't have the kit yet, but I've the decals, I'm planning an Indian machine.
