Iain
First on the list is a superb build by Shawn M using the 1960s vintage Revell Spitfire MK I/IIBuild can be found here. Superb work Shawn and goes to show that even a very old kit can yield a beautiful result in the right hands.Iain geedubelyer, Shawn M, Zero77 and 1 other
Iain
Next up is Erwin's rather nice (and very different) captured Spitfire in Luftwaffe colours from the Airfix kit in 1:24 He was so fast with this one that it passed under my radar and I hadn't spotted he'd finished it already! His build thread is here. Nice one Erwin! Iain Zero77, Shawn M, MikeC and 1 other

Iain
Carl's beautiful Spitfire FR IX from the Tamiya kit. Carl points out the engine isn't glued in so the gaps on the cowl are a bit bigger than they should be. Great model, great tribute! Iain
MikeC's is here with his Mk IIa:"Frantisek Fajtl's Spitfire IIa, 313 (Czechoslovak) Sqn, RAF Portreath, August-November 1941. As you may remember, I said I wanted to keep weathering to a minimum as the aircraft was fresh out of repair and repaint, with perhaps a couple of operational sorties by the time I've depicted it. So there's no gun staining and very little exhaust staining, and underneath just the beginning of the characteristic Spitfire oil stains.""I particularly like this variant of the day fighter scheme, with ocean gey and green, but with the A/A1/B markings."Really nice build Mike - a fitting tribute. Iain
Next up - Erwin's Spitfire Mk 1 from the Revell kit: "Finished. I didn't add the codes as in this case it's not important." Nice one Erwin! Iain MikeC
Iain
First of Shoggz dual builds - the Mk I:No air brush was used! All hand painted. I did the serial number freehand but got the 'A' from an Xtradecal sheet of RAF letters. For comparison, here's the real thing. Really nice Richard! Iain
And another finisher - Dukie99 with his Pacific Coast Models (PCM) Mk.XIVc: Thank you for the kind words. It is now finished and I am pretty happy with the result. I could weather it more and I may do so later on but I just like like this now. Such a beautiful aircraft, I should consider buying some of the Tamiya offerings. Here are the pics, I hope you will like them. Thanks for following this build. Ace build David!
