Cees Broere
Finally Photobucket is working so here is the new Revell kit built out of the box apart from seatbelts from the sparesbox. The next model to build will have some modifications such as replacing the wheels, shortening the oleos, replacing the thick wheeldoors. I slightly reshaped the proptips. Forgot to mention that the model represents a Mk XVI as flown by Dutch pilot A. Homburg who lost his life in this aircraft on April 1st, 1945. The model has been built for a friend who is writing a book about the wartime experiences of this particular pilot. MikeC
Very nicely done, and there's something about a clipped wing Spittie. mpk
R Palimaka
Beautiful!! Different markings too, nice tribute to the Dutch pilots. You certainly did a amazing job with a kit that has had some criticism, it looks lovely to me. I'll be interested to see what you can do to another kit with the corrections you have in mind. Thanks for sharing this! Richard mpk
Cees Broere
Thanks chaps, I intend to use the basic kit as a basis for Mk XII and other versions. And it was fun building it in four weeks, which is a record for me. R Palimaka and mpk

Lothar
I can't believe that the new Revell Mk.IX does indeed have a Spitfirerish look to it, in fact, it looks like a Spitfire. You did a FANTASTIC Job with the kit and I don't regret having bought one myself after having seen your build. Lothar mpk and MikeC
Joel_W
Just a rock solid build. Just wish that the pictures were a little better so we could really appreciate your build presentation. Joel mpk
