Hey guys.

Well it took about 25 years, but the old triceratops, Shaka, is complete.

Built mainly as a test bed for myself (dropped it 12 times) and various airbrushes, Iwata, Sparmax and Infinity, cheap fish tank greenery from the $2.00 shop, modeling clay mixed with glue and a base, the practice is done.

It was just made for the young man across from me who helped me several times, as a thanks. And named after our esteemed member, Shaka, here it is.

It's supposed to be walking through wet marshland. I've no idea how accurate the foliage is. It doesn't matter.

Now complete, I can get to more serious work. (Currently worried about attaching the undercarriage and antenna wire to a Shoki with numb hands)

Don't expect much. Yes, I've disappointed people before... "DALE!!!"  :fight:

That looks Outstanding ! Well done !! ( begs the question of why you asked about doing the clay groundwork.....you seem to know just fine ! :) )

Joe

Thanks Joe!

Actually I had no idea. People were busy with Easter. So I just mashed up loads of white glue with the clay, squashed it down, then used a paper napkin to press it so there'd be no fingerprints and let it dry.

Watched something on TV, came back to the site and my question had been answered in great detail. :D

I'll know to wait.

I really want to get these 4 LSP's completed. I'm nervous about my hands.

Oh well.

If I break another model, nobody dies. :D
