LSP_Ron
Being in manufacturing and having set up two manufacturing facilities I found this extremely interesting. The scale and magnitude of setting this plant up is staggering. It's not just building a big building, all the brakes, staping machines, dies, rolling mills have to be designed and built. The plant layout, production planning, power requirements, staffing worked out etc. I can't imagine. MikeMaben, FunkyZeit and LSP_K2

TonyT
This is what always astounded me SS Robert E. Peary she was launched on November 12, 1942 just 4 days, 15 hours and 29 minutes after the keel was laid down, in total it took just 7 days 14 hrs and 23 minutes to build this.... staggering Edited June 22, 2017 by TonyT
