RBrown
Yes, while assigned to NJG 5 on the Eastern front. The machine was a Ju 88 C-6 minus the fuselage gondola and radar, coded C9 + DE. I've never seen a photo of this particular aircraft. Edited April 22, 2018 by RBrown LSP_K2
Hans
According to Gebhard Aders in Modell-Fan 5/77, pages 33-34 it also had Schräge Musik, a C-4 canopy, a black underside and dense 75 mottling over 76 on top and was highly polished. The same camo was used on c9 AE, a C-6 he flew during the same period. At least one photo of the latter aircraft exists.
RBrown
Here are photos of what I believe is C9+AE. Here is the art work for Revell's 1/72 scale rendition... Still waiting for a Ju 88 fighter in 1/32 scale.
Hans
The drawing of c9 DE in Aders article is similar to the Revell box art..just change the call signs..
