Just a little distraction from Japan ;)

A solid resin character (toon) model of a Mustang.  Pretty clean from the package I have done a little trimming, sanding and some primer before two coats of colour.  I think I might just do one more coat of colour and then set it aside to dry out before a light sand/polish and some details.  There are a large range of models in the Neko-Works range but sadly only a few on offer at any one time.  Not a bad little squirrel though :frantic:

We'll see if I don't stuff it in painting the details.

Hi Shawn.  I'm planing nothing fancy.  I looked into doing the black stripes but think they may be a bridge too far.  I'm just going to black out the grill and tail light panel and paint in the chrome.  I might see if I can get some Bare Metal Foil to stick on the trim but we'll see if it's worth it.  Tyres and panel lines should make the girl pop.  I want to get as smooth a finish as I can.

I have a bunch of these hanging around including one of my '91 Beat. The details are pretty decent all things considered.

Carl - Have you finished any?  If so it would be neat to see em :)

Progress;

Little bit of paint, still very rough and working through what works.  Next one will get a lot more pre paint prep and that would make detail painting a lot easier.

Looks a little worse for wear but here goes.

Lots of little bits to tidy up but I'm getting the whoopsies so I'm going to go and do something else for a bit.  I think I can get her back to a presentable shape.  Need to make a little base too.

Thanks for looking in.
