Hawkwrench
I need some help from you guys. I'm just about ready to start a WIP dio using a jet ranger helicopter. What color would be best to match the color of these helicopter exhausts? Here's a pic of the pipes on the bird. What do you guys think? I have a couple in mind. Vallejo metallic copper Tamiya copper But I would like your guys input before I decide to order the paint. Tim
DesTROYer
I'd start with a base of brown with a touch of copper, well weathered with soot.
Intruder503
Tim, you should check out 1to1scale's exhaust on his P-40 WIP. here Post #6 Edited August 15, 2017 by Intruder503
Hawkwrench
Thanks all for the help. That link helped me out a lot! After looking and reading alot about painting exhausts, I'm going with Tamiya gun metal on the pipe, followed by a light, almost dry brushing of Tamiya dark copper. Hope it works!!!
