Wow , still shrink wrapped !! Couldn't ask for more.

Don't trust the shrink wrap to assure you of a complete kit.

It did not take long for the larger toy and department stores that had hobby departments to acquire their own shrink wrap machines and wrap every kit they had before putting them out on the shelves. One never trusts a child  not to pen a kit when no one is looking. Yes, some children are in their sixties so them too. 

There was one guy back 20 years or so who filled empty kit boxes with sprues and shrink wrapped them. He then put them out on his dealer table and sold them at shows. Well,  he got caught but no one knows how many of his false kits are still floating around.

P.S. Many of these older kits never were shrink wrapped in the first place. The wrap was applied by the dealer for protection against loss of parts. Surprisingly, It took quite a few years before the dealers and manufacturers  got wise and wrapped their kits.
