F-4J VF-84 under maintenance

The top cut-a-way is beyond description as the detailing is at a level I've never seen before. But the cockpit is in a league all by itself. I'm assuming that you removed the rear seat so you could detail the heck out of that space, and you've far exceeded those expatiations.

 

Just out of curiosity, how long has it taken you to get to this point of the build?

looking at that rear seat area got me thinking about something that's been bugging me for a long time..

 

if the RIO ejected from a Phantom in flight, I'm assuming that the pilot could still remain with the aircraft and attempt to land it safely?  Am I also right in assuming that the rear seat always ejects first (otherwise the RIO's face would be burned off by the pilot's seat)?
