Ok, what do you think? I goobered up the panel lines some trying something new, but it's not too bad. Ran some pastels over the surface in the earth color, and used a very soft brush lightly damped to make it somewhat look like air flow.

In my mind the P-47 is operating off a dusty airfield in the dry summer months. There is still some minor weathering then a few clear lenses go on and she should be about wrapped up.

Joel, I used all my free time points today. The honey do list starts tomorrow.

I've learned a great deal from this excellent build. Super result! I really support your OOB build approach, coupled with careful work and learning as you go.

Excellent P-47 in a great (and also new to me) scheme. Well done!

Hi Tony
Fantastic finish on the Jug: awesome build and the weathering is spot on.

Following the big Photobucket rip-off attempt, all my pictures on the forum cannot display anymore. I try to reupload the RFI pictures, but i'm not sure i'd have enough time and energy to reupload the pictures of the WIP threads. If you're interested in a specific subject and want me to reupload some pictures, just let me know. :)

Tony,

Aces on your build. See you can do a prop as good as a jet. The weathering is really looking good.  the only thing that needs a little more dust, wear and tear is the tires.  The O.D. really looks like it's weather beaten but taken care of by the ground crew. I'm just super impressed how you pulled of that complicated paint job.

What was the issue with the panel line pin wash?

Sorry to hear that you used all of your free time points. Being a home owner does have it's drawbacks. Believe me I know. my list never seems to get any shorter, and that's after 35+ years.

So what's next on your workbench?

Joel

Thanks Joel. Final photos are in the display area. The wash just got into some areas I didn't want it. I think next time a better clear coat will help with that. Next up are two more 1/32 builds, a Su-27ub and a Bf109E-1.

Tony,

Going to go checkout your Ready for Inspection pictures now. A solid clear coat and a wash of a non-compatible wash will let you remove any wash from areas you don't want it in safely.
