I'm not certain that's an M118. Might be a Mk.84 2,000lb bomb.

M118s were chiefly used by F-105s for flak suppression. The bomb created a literally stunning half-mile shockwave.

Agreed on that being a Mk.84. The nose/body is too sleek/pointy to be a M118.

Doesn't mean it's correct though. Just google M118 and Mk.84, they don't look a like. Squadron Signal books, especially older ones, have errors (and never rely on their illustrations for accuracy).

I am looking for 48th decals for Bob Lodge and Robert Locher F-4D. Are there any made. They were with the 555th Tactical Squadron in 1972. Thanks for any help or to link we're I might find them. John

When doing a web search for the ALQ-71 pod it shows a diagram with dimensions between lugs etc and links it to this discussion. Not all the images show up when I scroll through this topic and was wondering if I could get a copy of the drawing as it is the only thing I have been able to see that shows any dimensional references for this pod?
