Hello

I have been looking for a set of Fish Scale decals for a WNW Roland C.II Walfisch. Are there any made to date?

As I have seen this lovey work today on Facebook. https://www.facebook.com/groups/115991888428471/

No decals available, James cut out 600 little masks from tape to be able to depict the fish scheme. He's only been building models for a year or so also, it's absolutely stunning what he's achieved in that time!

James has a great talent. Does he post that build some where?   I like to look it over :hmmm:

Whoah big statement!! Can you back it up?

Yes, on the WNW Fans Facebook page he claimed he'd created a template for painting laminated props when he'd actually used one created by our very own Mammut08. He was called out on it, back tracked, and subsequently claimed that he'd come up with the idea himself (albeit many months after Mammut08's post) in complete isolation - but from the pictures, it's clear he's using Mammut08's template.

Mammut08's template (from http://forum.largescaleplanes.com/index.php?s=b5fab34b4e830a6a1a3c91b49e9ad32a&showtopic=46935&page=3&do=findComment&comment=531080)

Now you're entitled to make your own judgement, but I find it highly unlikely that an apparent novice modeller (he claims he's only been building for a year or so) would be able to create such a template in isolation - especially one which seems to have exactly the same line weighting as Mammut08's template.

I'm sure he's a nice guy, but I'm personally not convinced that someone with so little modelling experience can create some of the real masterpieces he's presenting, and how (in less than two years) he's become an 'expert' on all things WWI aviation related. To my mind, something just doesn't add up.
