Jerry and I wanted to publicly thank Tomas Poruba, one of the world's leading authorities on the Erla Messerschmitts, for his help with research during the development of our forthcoming Erla EagleCals. Without his willingness to share his knowledge with us, we could not have produced such a complete, accurate set of decals and instructions...thank you Tomas!

We are anxiously awaiting for the plane to land from Cartograf, delivering our Erla decals along with our Spitfire Mk I and Spitfire Mk II EagleCals...soon, very, very soon....

Hello Judy,

Thank you for the exciting news. I would like to ask a question about "green 7". Why green? And what about the color of the upper wing surface, is it solid green or combination of two?

Thanks in advance.

Kind Regards

Martin

Hello Martin,

Based the JG 300 loss records 11 Staffel used green numbers. The upper wings and horizontal tail surfaces were overall dark green as was "Yellow 5" that was camouflaged  like "Green 7". The starboard upper wing can be seen in the photos of "Yellow 5" published in our JG 300 book volume 2.

   Cheers, Jerry

Thank You so much Jerry, Is your JG 300 book still available? Also one more question, the white part of the spinner, I presume that it's visible on the same picture?

The only picture I have seen up to date  is the well known one with the jerrycan sitting by the plane, taken from right, front corner.

Thanks again.

Martin
