Hi Guy's,

i know, i hear you guy's coming.....oohhh no again a Corsair :please: ............sorry for that :wicked:  :wicked: , but the Corsair was already given the research before start, so i couldn't resist anymore, i had to make a start on this one :innocent: .

I will build this one together with my P-51D Mustang, which is at the moment on a hold due to canopy problems.

I have both Tamiya Corsair kit's, but first one to have the honor is the Birdcage one.

For this one i got plenty of aftermarket and some reference book's, also some paint is ordered, so research is done, and assembly can start.

Considering there is always room for interpretation as to the appearance of Corsairs early in the war.  There is always room in my book for another build. It is about what we bring to the build, not that it has been done before.  Good luck and plan to keep an eye on this.

Awesome! It sounds like I might have to switch my own build away from "Marines Dream", as there are now several either finished or underway, and they're all better than mine! And yours will be excellent too, Danny, I'm sure.

Kev

No need to Kev, why should you do that. 'Marines Dream' is a much discussed subject due to the limited photo source. At my knowledge, there are no photo's of the right side of the plane, so that's open for own interpretation. I read that this bird was heavilly war beaten, so wheatering should be extreem, and that's something that is unique for every single model made by totally different modellers.

Thank's cbk57 for hopping in. I'm with you on you're comment, it is very intresting to see different builds of the same model and subject, in that way you got a whole different perspective of a certain plane and markings.

I think when and if I can get one of these beauties, I think as a Canadian I might default to a Royal Navy scheme, as I think most USN ones have been done, some of those British ground based Corsairs have an interesting paint scheme and markings, just something a little bit colorful, but press on Danny , I'm watching and savoring here.... I learn so much from you guys..
