The speed brakes look great.

Looking forward to seeing how the engine fan fronts will look using Chucks black and titanium mix.

Keep 'em coming

Thanks guys

Chucks method worked well. Thanks Chuck!

I base coated with Mr Color Semi Gloss Black and then misted their Super Titanium color over the top until I got the desired effect comparing with photos. Looks spot on at the end of the intake trunking but I just cant seem to get a decent pic of it down there. Sitting in front of this is a row of stator vanes which I have made. This I think I will spray a mix of titanium and silver as this front row is a lot brighter. This then all sits behind the white trunking.

Oh well, I guess its back to riveting again!

Cheers guys

Si, I went back to do more riveting and saw that I need to make some of this. Being the APG-66NZ I cant use the Aires avionics bays as our Skyhawks had essentially an F-16 Radar and Avionics suite.

So started carving up the Aires bay to see what I could use.

Now I have some structure in here I will need to spend some time cleaning it up and splashing some Mr Surfacer around so the channel sections so they don't look like bits of plastic glued together. Looks like I need to add rivets too...

Still lots to go but its been a nice diversion from riveting

Thanks for looking in

Just primed over the top and they worked perfectly. Might need to paint this now before moving on to making the rest of it or I wont be able to paint it all when finished.

Thanks guys!

Not sure I am keen on the electronics LOL!

Today I made the mounting section for the Antenna mounting and the transmitter tray in the nose. That means all the structure is done. I am just adding final rivets now. My eyes are going fuzzy, so I will probably finish them after work tomorrow.

Thanks again for checking in chaps!

Cheers

Anthony
