jenshb
Seriously I have that guy in the stash for quite a bit of time and I never found a suitable cockpit for him, and it's not because I didn't try. I wonder how you guys do it with that brand !! Paul and Sue fit the cockpit nicely but my preference goes to PJ. Too bad they don't have a navy apparel in store Just been going through your thread again, and I too bought the Masters Navy pilot for my Tiger III adversary. Your comment made me look for PJ pilots, and I found this: https://www.pj-production.be/en/figures-1-32-/58-321106-us-navy-pilot-80-90-.html That's a suitable Navy pilot from the early 80s, isn't it? What differences would there be to the late 70s timeframe? I don't know the details of uniforms and equipment very well... Tomcatfreak
Aerobonus just released an A-7 seated pilot in a late SJU-8A seat :-)
Guest Maxim
Looks great. The helmet is not correct for the Desert Storm era as they were still using HGU-33P helmets with the visor housing assembly and knob in the center. Not trying to be picky just an FYI.. red Dog
thanks guys for your comment, glad to be back on it as well Jens, I would use the PJ as is for the seventies but i'm no specialist on that timeframe actually. What i check mostly is the helmet. the other tiny détails i can live with Maxim, The pictures you posted are prior to desert storm (none of these squadrons were actually flying with corsair during DS) and the pictures i have of the A-7E during desert storm have indeed the pilots wearing HGU-55 with sand colored fabric covers Edited December 13, 2017 by red Dog F`s are my favs and A-10LOADER
jenshb
Yes, the helmet will be the most obvious feature, so if the helmet is the right timeframe, then I'm halfway there:) Jens

red Dog
it's a slow project but i managed to get the decals on Doing so i realised that the victory decals have the VA-46 clansmen seriously undersclaled. And by the looks of it the cam pro sheet which i don't have seems to suffer from the same problem. here's how it should be: it is much bigger The E award was left out as i guess it was awared after the campaign and none of the desert storm pictures show the E in the same spirit, the bomb tally have been decreased from the decals, which is probably suitable for an aircrfat after desert storm Youngtiger1, blackbetty, Kagemusha and 5 others
Guest Peterpools
WOW Simply fantastic work and the techniques being shared are so greatly appreciated. Weathering is simply tremendous and that's from a guy who does very little weathering. Keep 'em comin Peter

Youngtiger1
Dog, looking good even though the decal undersize. If you would not have mentioned it I would have not picked it up. Good friend of mine flew the A-7 and to this day he says it was the best fighter jet he flew and he has flown many, including the SR. Its coming along real nice red Dog
