Hi,

Can anyone recommend a great book regarding airframe/cockpit detain etc (like Verlinden books) for this mighty aircraft?

 Ginter books do three volumes on the F-8, Detail & Scale and Squadrons walkaround are probably your best  options.Not overly a lot out there but I like Ginters books the best.

Maxim has it pretty much nailed here, there just don't seem to be all that many good books dedicated to the Gunfighter. The Squadron/Signal walk around and Ginter books probably being the better choices.
