Ok, I'm back home and here it is:

I'm hoping this becomes a great experience for my two sons as they get to learn about the space program.

Looks like you got in just in time. As of right now, it's only available on amazon third party for minimum of $269 (but free shipping!)

I like the 1969 piece count. Nice touch.

About the most fun I've had putting plastic pieces together in a very, very long time!  This is about 3 hours' worth of work.  First stage complete.  I found one error in the very first couple of steps in the instructions, but otherwise it's flawless.  No missing pieces so far.  Who can spot the error in construction (later corrected)?? :)

I'm SOOOOOOOOOO jealous :frantic:  :frantic:  :frantic:

The shop I've ordered mine through says that it won't be in stock until early July.

I hope you all enjoy this kit as it looks a cracker from all I have seen online so far.  I've gone out and purchased a new Ikea cabinet so I can have a place to display this and a few other bigger kits that don't fit in my other display cases.

A day above ground is, in my opinion, a good day.  :D

After about six hours' work, first and second stages are complete.  I *will* go to bed now :)

Tomorrow is a special day - a friend of mine has arranged a private on-the-field tour of AMARG (the Davis Monthan bone yard).  My battery is charging and my SD card is empty!

It seems as if my Lego box was not securely closed at the factory and a few pieces may have fallen out.

A most enjoyable build with a little bit done each night this week after work. There are 12 separate bagged steps and I spent a good ten hours all up knolling and building this beauty.  I do hope that there is enough interest in this one for Lego to put out a gantry and or crawler at it would be expensive but well worth it.  I've now got to get this into a display case and that menus new shelves and a lot of moving models around.

I wonder who will be first out with a correction set for the first stage fins? Those are Saturn IB fins :)
