Thanks, Ray. Tires are Tamiya XF-75 IJN Gray, and so far, mostly acrylics, a combination of Gunze and Tamiya. I'll be using some oils and enamels later, but I'm trying to stick with acrylics as much as possible.

Good choice, Kev. I have been using Tamiya paints a lot lately, thinned with their lacquer thinner which works very well. I am normally a big enamel fan, but had a terrible experience with enamels and MIG washes.

I've used enamels and lacquers most of my life too, but as much as possible I'm using the acrylics more and more, especially with no paint booth set up yet.

I know that the exterior was covered with Birch plywood, but have no idea of the interior framing wood; might be Birch as well, but I don't think so. No matter though, just to establish some variation, interior framing has been base coated with a different color than what's used on fuselage interior, and that should give me some different shades of wood when I add the oils to follow. (Believe it or don't, both fuselage halves are the exact same color, but the photo implies otherwise.)
