Thanks alot guys. They're just flat pieces of 3/4" white pine cut to shape then run

by a small table router for the edge trim. I varnished them first then attached the

applique with a thin coat of Elmer's white glue. The appliques were printed on a

inkjet printer. A 3/8" acrylic rod boiled in a shallow frying pan and bent around a

jar. The first one I did was the cross which is made up of 4 plinth blocks

(found at home depot or the like) with a 90 angle cut at the ends. Pretty simple.

The only power tools needed are the table router and a hand drill for the hole.

Variations on the theme are many.
