My Christmas raffle 109 is done (mostly). This kit definitely had some difficult areas (nose) that made me try some new to me skills. I also experimented with painting and I'm quite happy with that part. These are some quick photos from the bench, I'll try and get better photos when it's cloudy. I have the 109 itch now!

Well done. 109's grow on you, I think. I had a thing for them a number of years ago. Could not get enough.

Tony,

What a truly impressive build. One would never guess that this is your 1st Me 109. The paint scheme looks perfect, as is the decaling. What ever you decided on for a gloss base sure worked perfectly.  Looking forward to your full set of RFI pics.

Thanks guys. Joel, unfortunately there is silvering on a number of smaller decals that just didn't show up. I have some great advice on how to resolve that on my next project. I have a G-10 in the stash that may be my next side project along side the Flanker.

Tony,

Simply outstanding. The build looks perfect, as does your camo paint scheme and decaling.  More often then not I have the same problem with stencils where they just seem to auto silver. I'm going to try using a little Pledge under the decal, then more on top.

Wow Tony, that's just super crisp. For me the BoB 109s are the standard ... and you've really captured it beautifully. Well done.
