Tolga ULGUR
This was started a year ago but after construction of the cockpit and installation into the fuselage stopped due to some unwillingness. This year I have decided to re start to this project. Unfortunately cockpit construction pictures are lost due to some classical problems occured in my computer. Sorry but we have to start from the "already glued fuselage halves" episode. Trumpeter's kit is not innocent about the accuracy. There are lot of problems as most of you know. I will try to correct some problems but I have to live with some of them also - I realized too late the error in the exhaust space. This area looks very large and incorrect. - An another one is nape section behind the cockpit ( this is the upper fuselage part between right and left rear cockpit window) This area is too large - Finally the shape and slope of the radiator cowling This will be finished with the markings of "Ding Hao" Cockpit modified by Aires set. tomv87, Ralph-D, BiggTim and 3 others

LSP_Kevin
Nice progress, Tolga! I've heard that this Aires wheel bay set is actually more applicable to a P-51A, and as such, more suitable for the Hobbycraft kits. You've nevertheless done a great job in getting them to fit. They look great! Kev D Bellis and LSP_K2
Tolga ULGUR
Thanks Kevin Yes, application was not easy and smooth.. Fitting was acceptable but not perfect. It needs some putty and filling.

Shaka HI
I don't care what others say, but pre-shading/post shading that accentuate the panel lines looks fantastic! And I'm pretty sure the model looks much more subtle in person.
LSP_Kevin
Nice work, Tolga! Personally, I think the pre-shading is too heavy, but as Shaka's post proves, it's all subjective. Kev DougN and CATCplSlade
Tolga ULGUR
Thanks for the comments. Kevin; as a matter of the fact I did not applied more than the my usual level of shading. Probably it looks heavy due to the thousands of rivets. For my opinion the look will find its equilibrium after oil paint wash and matt coat.
