well both sides of the cockpit have been done,most of which wont be seen when shes buttoned up

OK ive managed to close her up, the instructions suggest you leave out the spine so as you can add the canopy rail however id rather add them now and add the canopy after shes all painted, so ill trim the canopy rail when i come to fit it

I think I'll add some washes to the frames and a bit of oil streaking, but not alot

Well ive dirtied up the engine bay a bit, i dont want to go over the top

ive also built and painted the rudder, this is only dry fitted so will be put away for now and re-attached at the end of the build

Mark, missed this when you first started, exquisite build........so want to dive in a another 'stang very soon.


One question, your "black" looks great, always have trouble with mine, what do you use and is it sprayed or brushed?

As for the black

The gloss is alclad black primer - brushed or airbrushed both work well

The 'matt' is tamiya NATO black xf69???? Again mainly airbrushed but OK brushed

well today ive been working on the gunbays, ive seen a piccy of a different mustang with guns with the numbers marked on them so ive tried to recreate them

ok, the wings, these are progressing really quick, as im stuck in doors, surrounded by a raging thunderstorm and hail as big as golf balls
