Stevepd
Morning all, I'm looking at Tomcats and have put some in my watched eBay. Now the "old" ones are fetching a premium but a new A model can be purchased for £100. So what's the difference between the As' (not interested in the bombcat)? Steve. thierry laurent
Hi, the three releases from Tamiya simply followed the evolution of the plane. The initial release was an AtoA seventies plane with the early Vulcan gun vents and AIM-9D. The later release got the NACA type gun vents, more refined exhausts, AIM-9L and some antenna changes. The final release had pilots with lightweight helmets, some bombs and pylons and some other minor changes. This is out of my memory, so there may be some other small changes I forgot. However, globally, you get the picture. A problem is the fact they never covered comprehensively all the block changes (a good example being the wheel rim type). timvkampen
the 32 Tamiya cat is ready for a decent replacement now that the 48-offering is on the market. It would be a killer to have a newly designed Tomcat in this scale from Tamiya! I would suggest Tamiya to start working on this next year!!
