Make Your Own Sanding Pad

Recommended Posts

I thought others may be interested.

While working on my Mustang I needed a sanding pad that I did not have.  So I made one:

I had all of this stuff lying around.  God knows why I had abrasive powder lying around, but I did.  Anyway, I took some cotton buds, smeared GOOP on them (a clear non-hardening silicon adhesive) dipped them into the abrasive powder, let dry, then sanded away.  Great for contours.

You can buy grit powder in any size, and volume, to fit your need.

Sincerely,

Mark
