RBrown
Here are some screenshots of 49th Fighter Group P-40s in the defense of Darwin 1942. Most of the aircraft are clearly in the two color upper surface camouflage typical of machines built to British contract. RBrown
For Darwin P-40 fans DK Decals has recently released a 1/32 sheet with marking for several of the aircraft depicted in the video linked above. Brett Green of Hyperscale featured a review here http://www.hyperscale.com/2017/reviews/decals/dk32003reviewbg_1.htm Anyone care to speculate on the relatively dark under surface colors on several of the aircraft? For instance the dragon adorned machine posted above with what appears to be brush applied paint to its lower cowling. Guest Clunkmeister
OK, by the title of this thread, I was expecting to see motion pictures of extremely dimwitted people doing unbelievably stupid things with P-40s, ending in spectacular fireballs.
