xmh53wrench
SCREEEEEEEEECCCHHHHHH!!!!!!! Thats the sound of all my other projects coming to a screeching halt...... Well here is the back story. Most every vehicle my father has ever owned, he has put his signature on it, in some form or another. Whether it be, loud exhaust, chrome rims, custom paint, or a combo of all. In about 1972 he purchased a wrecked 1955 Chevrolet Series 1 Pick up. He repaired it, and gave it all of the above modifications to his liking. Fast forward 2 years (1974) and my parents decide they would like a 1930 Model A Sedan, so my uncle in L.A. comes up with one to trade for the truck. Well this weekend my father calls me and proclaims that my uncle has contacted him about purchasing the truck back. Needless to say I am ecstatic!!! Its been probably 35 years since I have seen it, but my father saw it about 10 years ago. He said it was in pretty decent shape then, and it has been garage kept the entire time my uncle owned it. So as long as its not a basket case we plan on towing it back to my house and my father and I will spend a few weeks getting it roadworthy, then back to my parents house for them to enjoy it.....AGAIN..... The kit....well I have had this kit for probably 10 years with the intent on making a clone of my fathers ol' truck, now seems a very appropriate time. I have two weeks before we pick the truck up...... This is my father I believe around 1978 repairing the truck for my uncle after an accident..... BACKBURNERED.....the deal for the real truck has fallen through for the time being, and I was hoping to have the truck here for the correct colors and getting some of the details right.....
