  1. I'm curious if anyone knows how often the bazooka rocket tubes were used on P-51B/C's in the ETO? I know they were used quite a bit in the PTO for ground attack/air support missions since the Mustang there was used more for that purpose. I haven't seen any pics of them being used on ETO mustangs that I know of. Thanks in advance! Harry
  2. Hey Peter, Did you ever see if you could turn this into 1/32? I'd sure love a set for my old 1/32 Revell Stuka taht I've been itching to build. Thanks! Harry
  3. I was watching a vid from the Nurnberg Toy Fair and saw that they have a new tool Gloster Meteor coming. I don't know if this is old news, but I hadn't seen anything mentioned about it before.
  4. Great opinions and a great discussion!! To be a little more specific, I was one that would never throw a kit away. It would sit on a shelf somewhere and collect dust until I finally decided to get it wrapped up because it was money that I had spent and couldn't see wasting. I think my decision to finally just clear the shelf was the fact that I have switched scales to concentrate solely on larger 1/35, 1/32 stuff. The kits being binned are all 1/48 that I just don't have any interest in anymore. The remainder of my 1/48 stuff is being sold at the local IPMS show coming up and I'll be done with that scale.
  5. Have you ever just got tired of working on a kit and just trashed it? Or cleared out the shelf of doom with one big swoop?? I'm contemplating just cleaning out everything and starting fresh.. The kits I'm thinking about doing away with aren't that expensive, so the dollar loss is minimal. Opinions???
  6. Sorry to hear this Damian, but it's understandable. Best wishes for you in the future. Harry
  7. A "K"??? Yes please!!! I'll take a 190D too while they're at it.
  8. Beautiful build! The first pics looked like a real Spitfire in a field. That's impressive.
  9. I like what I am seeing coming from Border. As for AM, I really despise the fact that I have to buy improved/more detailed parts for a modern kit that should have those features already in the kit (Yes, I'm looking at you Eduard). I would really like to see kits that are highly detailed, and without a ludicris 500 parts count. There's really no reason for it with today's moulding technology. The more kits that enter the market, the more options we have regardless of what scale it is.
  10. Masterful build! Congrats!! I'm excited to start my own Border 190 after seeing yours.
  11. I've built quite a few of the Hobby boss Ta and Dora kits and they are really nice, but limited in options.
