Resin Dust

Hi Guys,

 

I allready posted this on ARC, but I think it would be a good one for the tips and techniques section, so here it is:

 

When I am removing casting blocks from resin, I hold the part over a vacuum hose that I hold between my legs. That way, all of the dust is immediately sucked down and away from my face. Just be careful, as the vacuum doesn't differentiate between the part and the excess and you may have to go sifting...if you know what I mean

Nice tip BTW, I do it under a running tap (with the plug in), this stops any dust flying around but you have to dry the razor saw afterwards or it will go rusty.

Or you could put some stocking/pantyhose 'borrowed' from a young ladyfriend over the vacuum hose. it would provide all the suction, and stop the important part from being ingested.

Maybe I'll just get them from my wife. I think that would be best.

She might get upset if I "borrowed" them from a young lady friend!

Pah! Resin casting blocks .... why oh why have them anyway? No need in this modern age of technology!
